How many will fit?

Select your chair to see how many you can comfortably fit around different table sizes.

Chair:

RECTANGULAR TABLES

By length, drawn at 90 cm wide. Counts are indicative.

ROUND TABLES

By diameter. Counts are indicative.

Seating numbers are indicative planning suggestions, allowing for chair width and a little space between guests. Table legs, bases and end seating can change what works, so check your table's specifications.

CHAIR WIDTH

Chair width matters

Narrower chairs fit more comfortably along a table. Here's how each style sits along one side of a 180 cm table, drawn to scale from above.

Counts are indicative and allow a little space between each chair.

CLEARANCE

Room to move

Allow space to pull a chair out and sit down comfortably, plus room for others to walk behind. Measure from the table edge to the nearest wall or piece of furniture.

Measure with the chairs pulled out, not tucked in.

HEIGHTS

Seat and table height

Seat height is measured from the floor to the top of the seat. If you'd like armchairs to slide under the table, check that the underside of the table or apron sits higher than the chair's arms.

USE AND STORAGE

Indoor, outdoor and stacking

Alex, Carla and Nina suit indoor and outdoor use. Arlo is for indoor use. All four styles stack up to four high, so extra seats tuck away neatly when you don't need them.
